To become an adoptive parent there are a few basic criteria that you need to meet:

•	You must be at least 25 years of age
•	You may be single or in a stable relationship for at least two years
•	You must be able to demonstrate financial stability
•	Family members must be in good health
•	You must attend an orientation meeting and all training sessions
•	You must satisfactorily complete a Family Home Study
•	You must comply with all Title XXII State of California , Los Angeles County and SCFFAA regulations
•	All members of the household must pass a criminal record clearance
